The Mary ring has something of a miniature crown about it. On a thin 14k gold-filled band, a row of small Desert Jasper beads and twisted gold beads line up in an arc, like so many tiny treasures gathered from the water's edge and brought together in a single gesture.

The blend of textures is what makes it so appealing — the striated surface of the golden beads against the natural, soft grain of the Jasper, all held together by a handcrafted braided wire that gives the piece its assumed handmade character. It's a piece of jewelry that rewards close inspection and those who take their time.
